Everybody knows that kids make the best detectives, because nobody takes kids seriously.

Are they moving into danger? After her father's death, fifteen-year-old Carly Grant and her three siblings have gone to live with their grandfather in Nebraska. Their mother has accepted a job out of the country. Shortly after Mom leaves, Grandpa starts to get forgetful. Can the kids cover for Gramps and keep his forgetfulness hidden until Mom comes home? It's no secret the townspeople don't like having the children around. But why? Carly finds it has something to do with their dad. The Eagle River Detectives are determined to clear their father's name, but they may have to risk their lives to do it! Follow along as they uncover dangerous secrets that have been deeply buried for years, in this first installment of the Eagle River Detectives adventures.

Author's note: I wrote this for 10-17- year-olds, but found that my senior friends enjoyed the story as much as the kids, so now I think of it as a Cozy Mystery Lite.
