Detective Bass is too kindhearted at times. An elderly veteran had been murdered and the case was being wrapped up, when the detective agreed to do a favor for a friend. Everything unraveled after that. They had the weapon, a 9mm revolver first issued during the Korean War, and he had the suspect’s confession. But it wasn’t enough.
The local newspaper printed a story of the woman’s confession and the revenge of her father’s death. But was it more of the cover-up? What were the lies? What was the truth?
