BOOK 1. DEAD ENERGY.
Geophysics instructor Alex Cave is on vacation sailing the waters of the Puget Sound when he sees a brilliant flash of light from an oil tanker. When he changes course to help, he has no idea this will be the start of an epic adventure, where he will be the only person capable of saving humanity.
Alex learns the tanker left Valdez Alaska with a full load of crude oil, but he discovers there is no sign of an explosion, no crew, and the oil has mysteriously vanished without a trace. When he tells the Director of National Security about the unusual circumstances, he learns the same thing just happened to another tanker in Houston, and puts him in charge of the investigation. Alex has no idea what he is about to discover could change the fate of civilization forever.

BOOK 2. COLD ENERGY.
Alex receives an urgent call from a friend about unusual seismic activity in the Pacific Northwest, which awoke the sleeping Mount Baker volcano. Knowing his family lives near the base of the mountain, Alex immediately leaves to try to find out why it’s happening and save his family. Before he arrives, the Director of National Security asks him to figure out what caused the Polar Ice Sheet to begin expanding by thousands of square miles, and try to stop it before the planet enters a new ice age. The idea of abandoning his family to save humanity is nearly unbearable, but Alex swears to find a way to save both.

BOOK 3. RED ENERGY.
Alex begins the recovery of several items of advanced alien technology in the Bering Sea, and discovers he is betrayed by one of the crew, who steals one of the powerfully destructive devices. Alex knows that if this technology falls into the wrong hands, it could cause the end of all life on the planet, and he begins a desperate search to find it. Moreover, his past actions while working for the CIA have come back to haunt him, and his loved ones are put in grave danger. On this emotional rollercoaster, Alex literally feels the weight of the world on his shoulders as he is torn between saving the ones he loves, and saving humanity from extinction.
