Definition of the "Women's Fiction Genre": The central goal of ebooks in the Women's Fiction genre is to focus on the experience of a woman or group of women. And, those experiences oftentimes relate to adverse experiences the woman goes through, and ultimately prevails over. The story can involve romance, but does not need to and does not necessarily involve romance the majority of the time. The most important part of ebooks in the Women's Fiction genre is that the woman playing the main character experiences personal growth, and oftentimes goes through life-changing events.
Some examples of bestselling ebooks in the Women's Fiction Genre are Tracy Brogan (Crazy Little Thing), Lisa Genova (Still Alice), Christina Baker Kline (Orphan Train), and Liane Moriarty (The Husband's Secret).
Pregnant at 16, Renee Goodchild drops out of school and marries. Now she’s trapped in rural Texas with Kenny, her violent, garbage-collecting husband. A bleak future seems assured until she meets self-appointed relationship guru, Pearly.
“That’s why you don’t let ‘em rule the roost. ’Cause you can’t count on ‘em to be there the next mornin’ when it’s time to crow,” the worldly Pearly advises.
Renee narrates this tale of ruin and redemption where the damaged and downtrodden lead each other to unintended, sometimes heartbreaking, and often bittersweet outcomes. When Horses Had Wings examines the lives of broken people competing for the most basic needs: the primal urge for affection and the eternal search for acceptance.
You will laugh loudly. You will cry ugly. But you will find it hard to forget Jack and Emma.
Sometimes the promise of something is so good that it's worth having, even when you know that you can't keep it. See You is not a romance, but it is a love story; one filled with the rawness of and risk and redemption and the dry humor that is the backbone of the South.
Emma has loved Jack since she was a little girl. But he was more than 20 years older and was raised by her grandmother, Miss Margret, so he's always been more of an uncle than anything else. He's never seen Emma as anything but a child.
Jack’s been gone for ten years and Emma is now raising her daughter in the same house where she and Jack were raised. But she’s never stopped loving Jack. When he finally comes home for one last visit, everything Emma thinks she knows and believes will be challenged. Jack has made no secret of the fact that he'll probably be dead within a year. He does have one secret though, a secret he's protected for years; and that secret could change everything.
However, he also has a plan. When Emma agrees to it, she knows she's volunteering for a pain she can't prepare for. Can something be so good that it's worth allowing it to break your heart? Emma and Jack are about to find out, because this homecoming won't be anything either of them expected.

You might say it’s a coincidence. Alice certainly would… at first! But when she suddenly risks losing not just one Danny, but all of them, she begins to wonder: might there be more in a name than she ever guessed?

A visit to his widower father at the Wilson family’s historical homestead in coastal Queensland, however, quickly proves to Baz that he has more things to worry about than his own happily ever after! His wealthy father’s eccentric behavior could be dementia, an innocent young blonde with no past washes up on their isolated beach looking for sex, the new cleaning lady is a kleptomaniac, an Internet scammer turns up with a gun to steal Baz’s inheritance, and the local cop thinks the blonde is a killer mermaid. When Baz’s ex–colleague Wynne Malone arrives to charm him, Baz isn’t sure if he wants to kiss her or have a mental breakdown.

Nate Sutherland decided long ago he’d settle for friendship if he couldn’t have Faith’s heart. But now, as she nears death, he’s going to have to listen to his feelings in a whole new way—and act. Because if he doesn’t, this week will be the worst damn week of his life. He’ll lose everything he’s ever loved.

After all, what's the worst that could happen?
Kate Adams has it all figured out. Five years out of college, she’s got a steady job, a home she loves in the big city, and good friends who always keep her laughing: her stylish but nosy roommate Evette, happily-married Cecie, and of course, good old Mitch, her seriously cute co-worker who’s been stuck in the Friend Zone since the day they met. Everything is going just fine—until the night Kate crosses the line with Mitch, and the boundaries between friendship and love begin to blur. Things get even more complicated when hunky JP enters the scene. What’s a girl to do? Add to the mix a spunky little pug Kate never expected to fall for, and her neatly-ordered life is starting to look more like a dog’s dinner. Maybe her roommate has the right idea after all: forget the men, and stick with a canine companion instead. It’s time for Kate to figure out what she really wants in life. But can she dig her way out of the mess she’s created before she ends up permanently in the doghouse?
Expect little, forgive much?
After a whirlwind courtship, Brittany Beresford married her Prince Charming and looked forward to living happily ever after. Five years later, she’s been reduced to a not-quite-desperate housewife, with a husband who spends more time flossing his teeth than holding meaningful conversations with her.
She braves his disapproval and turns working mother and, other than feeling far more drawn to a handsome baker she works with than him, things seem to be looking up. But then she discovers that his “hobbies” include something even worse than golf - and he expects her to put up and shut up.
Fairy tale illusions shattered, but still believing marriage is for life and wanting the best for her son, Brittany has a choice to make: should she follow her heart, or her conscience?
Seven Days of Friday opens with Days of the Week underwear and closes with a forty-year-old secret that refuses to stay submerged.
Thirty-four-year-old Vivi Tyler is living her nightmare: gay husband, self-harming teenager, melodramatic mother. They’re picking apart her sanity, one stitch at a time. She’s crawling along rock bottom when the arrival of a mysterious package opens a new door to a new country. A desperate Vivi dives headfirst into the quicksand that is Greece—her parents’ birthplace.
But it’s a paradise far from perfect, and instead of the new beginning she covets, Vivi discovers trouble is determined to keep her in its pocket. Soon she’s fighting for her daughter’s life in a Greek hospital, clashing with her Greek relatives, and cobbling together an inadequate cage around her heart, lest she fall for an unavailable man.
Becky Jordan has had it with relationships. From now on her time and dedication won’t be lavished on her latest Mr. Wrong—or, worse, Mr. Hell-No!—just the dream travel job which has unexpectedly leapt into her lap. Finally, life is looking great.
Unfortunately, not as great as her sizzling-hot, take-charge new boss. Matt Frobisher is everything she doesn't want him to be, but if anyone thinks she'll risk her career on a workplace fling they can think again. No amount of Superman behaviour from him will make her roll over and play Lois.
At least, that's what her head says. Her heart, however, doesn't do logical. In desperation she finds herself a Mr. Distraction, one with no strings and plenty of appeal. But Mr. Distraction also comes with unforeseen complications. Kryptonite complications, like Becky’s sister. And when she shows up there’s only one sure thing: not even Superman can prevent the Disaster Fest that’s about to blow Becky’s life apart.
Warning: contains one guy determined to win the girl, one girl determined not to be won, and plenty of heat in the middle.
