Definition of the "Science Fiction Genre": The focus of this subgenre of fiction is science and technology, especially as they will possibly exist in a future time. Some of the typical aspects of a Science Fiction ebook are time travel, future worlds with technology that may not even be contemplated at this point, aliens and other life forms, and travelling in space. What separates the Science Fiction subgenre from the Fantasy subgenre of fiction is that the imagined or invented elements of a Science Fiction novel typically have more of a probability of existing. They are based upon scientific principles, not principles of magic.
Some examples of bestselling ebooks in the Science Fiction genre are Frank Herbert (Dune), Isaac Asimov (Foundation), Orson Scott Card (Ender's Game) and George Orwell (1984).
Jay Allan's Blood on the Stars...
War rages between the Confederation and the Union. Shattered fleets watch each other warily across a war torn frontier. Both sides are licking their wounds, gathering strength to continue the fight.
Captain Tyler Barron and the crew of Dauntless are finally enjoying the rest they’ve earned while their aging battleship Dauntless gets the repairs and refit it desperately needs. But their respite will be short-lived. In the Badlands, deep in the haunted vastness of pre-Cataclysmic space, a new discovery threatens to upset the balance of power.
Orbiting a world in a distant system is an ancient battleship, vastly larger and enormously more advanced than anything possessed by the contending powers…and the Union has already sent forces to seize it. The Confederation has no ships close enough to intervene, to get there before the enemy…none save Dauntless.
Barron and his crew must race across the Badlands, find the ancient artifact, and somehow hold it, keep the Union forces from taking it, until reinforcements arrive. They will be outnumbered and outgunned, but there can be no retreat. Not this time. Nothing less than the fate of all human-inhabited space is at stake.
If the Confederation is able to rediscover the technology of the ancients, it will be safe for generations to come, its defensive forces untouchable by its enemies. But if the Union gets there first, if it can adapt the incredible power of mankind’s lost technology, it will gain the power to enslave all humanity.
This fight isn’t for territory. It isn’t for position or tactical advantage. It is for the future.

Aided by his fellow alien companion, the powerful Talin and his living AI unit Ursa, The First has spent his time on Earth becoming its defender and champion. But once the Anisari arrived, even his incredible powers were not enough to defeat the alien armada. Fighting at his side is the human woman, Maura Riley. She was the first person on Earth to come into contact with the super alien when he crash landed on the planet. That exposure altered Maura's DNA, giving her fantastic abilities that forever changed her life. Maura quickly found that even her newfound super strength, and her newly forged alliance with a handful of humans who had also been altered by the introduction of the alien nano technology that was released into the atmosphere when The First crash landed, may not be enough to defeat the invaders who are bent on destroying the planet and completely erasing all traces of it from existence. Maura and her companions find themselves working for an off the books government agency that wants to protect America from the invading horde, but also wants the secrets of the alien technology for themselves. The government is in a race with foreign countries, and giant technology firms that also want those secrets. Maura and her friends are beset on all sides; opposition comes from above and within as they battle their old nemesis, the rogue agent Nia Neely and her sinister, secretive bosses, as they race against time to find a way to stop an alien invasion, and save the earth itself. Why waste time on romance when you can just kidnap the perfect bride?
Ashley Donovan is a woman set in her ways, but compared to a Nayanor, she's apparently incredibly adaptive. Plucked from her ship like many others, Ashley thought her life to be over, but as destiny would have it, it was only about to begin. Granted, it's with an incredibly infuriating and sexy raider lord whose understanding of common decency and the concept of civil discussion leaves something to be desired. That just means she has to speak up louder, right?
Zar does what any sensible Nayanor in need of a mate does - he raids Terra until he finds the perfect woman. Except his perfect woman doesn't bow her head and follow orders as she's told like everybody else's. Instead, she seems to be an express ticket to get his head cut off his shoulders with her insolence, her sharp tongue and her opinions that are not only dangerous, but blasphemous to the warlord who is the only hope for Zar's clan's survival. But gods is she irresistible when doing all of that...
So what's it going to be? His woman, his clan, or his loyalty? Something's got to give and it won't be Zar or Ashley.

Welcome to the Tora star system, home of the spectacular Cardinal-4 space station overlooking Amulen and Banor, twin worlds that share the same orbit. One visit and you'll understand why this station is the pinnacle of Torian achievement and a wonder of the Erobian Sphere.
Unfortunately, your timing isn't great. Many centuries of peace and prosperity are on the verge of collapsing for members of the Erob coalition as signs of the first interstellar wars loom. The half-breeds tell us it is because we are now forsaking the ancient law, and have thus allowed an evil infection to begin spreading through the galaxy. But those Erob half-breeds have always been a little over-dramatic, haven't they?
Brandon Foss, an unhappily married Virginian in his early thirties, awakes from a strange dream to discover he has been abducted from Earth and kept in cryonic preservation on Amulen for two decades. One other resuscitated human is with him, a real knucklehead who almost seems as alien to Brandon as their reptilian captors. A friendship of convenience forms as the two Earthlings soon become unwittingly intertwined in Torian politics and military affairs--at a time, it turns out, when the Torians desperately need just such intertwining.
