Definition of the "Fantasy Genre": As alluded to above, the primary components of bestselling Fantasy ebooks are the creation of a rich and expansive other world. While those other worlds can have aspects similar to our reality, the less so, the better. Ebooks in the Fantasy genre also use magic commonly, and include magical creatures in their plot lines. Perhaps one of the most important technical elements of a Fantasy ebook is that while the rules in the other world created by the author may not work in our reality, they are internally consistent to the story itself.
Some examples of bestselling Fantasy ebooks are George R.R. Martin (Game of Thrones), J.R.R. Tolkien (Lord of the Rings), Brandon Sanderson (The Way of Kings), and Piers Anthony (his entire Xanth series). And, you know what? We are going to throw the movie The Neverending Story in here, because it had a book in it after all, and it's a premier example of fantasy.
Immortal Kat Dubois has traded in her sword for a flask. Hard drinking helps ease the grisly memories of her former trade: an assassin of immortals. For someone with an eternity to live, Kat's chances of unraveling the mystery become less likely with each passing second…

Book 6 (Tangled Tales)

The Forgotten Lady:
The de Bar siblings continue to be cursed by the old witch, Hecuba as Cinderella’s memories of her past are stripped away. Living with an evil stepmother and two mean stepsisters, Ella can’t remember who she is, and neither can she remember her true family or even Sir William, the man she loves.
The Determined Knight:

But along the way he makes a stop in town where he sees Lady Ella de Bar, the woman he almost married before he left to campaign for the king. The odd thing is, Lady Ella is dressed like a peasant and doesn't seem to know him.
The longer the curse continues, the more people forget Ella exists at all. And if anyone tells her about her past, the curse will never be broken. William sets forth with the challenge of trying to break Ella’s curse and win back her heart. But when his memories of her start to fade as well, it looks as if all hope is lost.
Can true love break the barriers of dark magic before William and Ella’s past relationship is forgotten forever?
(Each book in the series stands alone, but it is always better to read in order so that no surprises are ruined.)

It all started with a death: her own.
Ruby Callaway is the most feared supernatural bounty hunter in the world. But even Ruby has limits. And, after two centuries, she might have finally met her match.

But, then, Ruby isn't your typical bounty hunter.
Ruby Callaway: The Complete Collection contains all three full-length novels in The Ruby Callaway Trilogy: Lightning Blade, Shadow Flare, and Blood River. It also includes all four of Ruby's side adventures fleshing out her two century backstory, previously only available to subscribers of D.N. Erikson's newsletter. These include two novellas: Bone Realm and Going Home, and two side stories: "Silver Tempest" and "Kentucky Clear."

An assassination attempt interrupts Talyien's quest for reconciliation, sending the queen struggling in a strange and dangerous land. With betrayals in every twist and turn, she is forced to enlist the help of a con-artist to survive and save her husband from the clutches of those who would seek to use him for their gain...if he would let her.

Terra is shiftless --- a werewolf uncomfortable in her own animal skin.
A decade after learning to squash her wolf and flee the repressive village where she grew up, the packless ache still gnaws at Terra's insides. But despite her yearnings, she struggles against being reeled back into her old life.
To Terra's dismay, her father and half a dozen of his henchmen finally ambush her and demand her return. Yet they do offer one way out --- hunt down her nephew Keith, teach him to shift, and bring the youngster back into the fold in her place.
Problem upon problem piles up as Terra strives to do her father's bidding. The female shifter has hidden from her wolf for so long that she finds herself unable to change back into canine form, and she also realizes that her nephew is too good-natured to survive for a minute walking in his grandfather's footsteps. Plus, there's an alpha standing in her way who's equal parts enticing and terrifying.
Will Terra be able to relearn her werewolf abilities --- and overcome her morals --- before her father steals away her hard-earned independence? And as that tantalizing alpha reels her in closer and closer, the question becomes --- does she really want to stay away?

GRR Martin meets M.Night Shyamalan: a tale that combines the rich political and cultural landscape of epic fantasy with slow-creeping horrors and mysteries, told from the POV of three minor characters: a run-down mercenary, a merchant, and a seamstress. The trilogy emphasizes their personal quests as they weave through a traditional fantasy plot of heroes old and new, conflict, revenge, and lost kingdoms. At the crux of it all: a creature of legend, a witch's beast, whose possession promises enough power to bring the continent to its knees.
Praised for complex character development and rich, diverse worldbuilding. A must-read for the discerning epic fantasy fan.
